Organic Cotton Casual Crew Socks Our Organic Cotton Casual Crew Socks are made in the USA, sweatshop-free, from Texas-grown organic cotton. These awesome socks have a rustic character & heritage look because they have left in specks of unrefined organic cotton. Allround casual crew socks for everyday use. For the past 26 years we have been getting our cotton from a small certified organic farm in Texas, grown by the same family for over 100 years. For the cotton to be certified organic, the field must have been farmed chemical-free for 3 years. The cotton is ginned at their certified organic gin, and spun into yarn in North Carolina. The products are then sewn for us in South Carolina - for a finished product that is grown and made entirely in the USA. We are a small company by choice, so that we can continue to make truly organic products sweatshop-free in USA and Europe. As you may know, going big usually means going to China or India where we and our customers would have reservations concerning troubling labor practices and rampant usage of industrial chemicals. All of our products are made on a small scale with farms and workers that we have worked with since our beginning. This allows us to make innovations like using organic elastic and threads and plastic-free natural buttons developed in-house. And of course there are never any pesticides or industrial chemicals used in growing our fibers or making our products. We serve many chemically sensitive customers, and our world-view has always from the beginning been to protect the environment, animals, and people. That is why we do what we do.
